Cold Press Sunflower Oil Machine: What's the Difference from Refined Oil?
Sunflower oil is a staple in almost every kitchen in Turkey. However, the light-colored, odorless "refined" oil we see on supermarket shelves is far from the seed's natural state. So, what is real, unadulterated sunflower oil with its nutritional value preserved? The answer is the cold press method.

It is important not to confuse these two oils. The difference between them is the production method:
- Refined Oil: The seeds are exposed to high heat (over 100°C), then chemical solvents (like hexane) are used to extract the oil. Afterward, it is repeatedly processed (refined) to remove odor, color, and acidity. Most of its nutritional value is lost.
- Cold Press Oil (Our Product): The seeds are only mechanically squeezed (screw press). The processing temperature is below 50°C. No chemicals are used. The oil comes out with its natural color, aroma, and most importantly, all its nutrients, especially Vitamin E.
Live Pressing: EB-1600 with Natural Sunflower Oil (Video)
So, what does the cold press process actually look like? In the video below, you can see how our EB-1600 model efficiently presses sunflower seeds and separates that natural, unadulterated oil.
Sunflower Seed Oil Yield
Sunflower is one of the seeds with the highest oil content (approx. 40-50%). Efobaba Endüstriyel machines press sunflower seeds at low heat, preserving their nutritional value and leaving an extremely low amount of oil in the pomace (cake).
"Offering 'real' sunflower oil to your customers instantly differentiates you in the refined oil market. Cold press oil is darker, has a more intense aroma, and is much healthier."
